Issuers
Transparency plays a major role, especially for sustainable investors. Pfandbrief banks active in the Green and Social Pfandbrief segments therefore provide detailed information on the corresponding sustainable Pfandbriefe, including on the eligible assets in the cover pool, on the issuer's so-called "Green Bond Framework" or "Social Bond Framework" and on the "External Review" prepared by an independent, qualified party. Currently, 14 German Pfandbrief banks and two Austrian institutions (under the Austrian Pfandbrief Act) issue Green or Social Pfandbriefe in accordance with the vdp minimum standards.
